E-Handbook “Trickeries Guide” [Online Resource]
E-Handbook “Trickeries Guide” was developed as part of the Warrior Project to teach youth about identifying false information. Funded by the European Commission, this collaborative project was managed by Euro Net.
Summary:
Fake news represents, in fact, a significant threat to the stability and unity of modern
societies in the digital age (in which news is easily accessible through devices such
as smartphones, PCs and smart speakers). This is not only because not all information is
reliable but above all because some can even be very dangerous. The manual includes real-life examples to demonstrate, on the one hand, how manipulation affects young people’s values and needs and, on the other hand, how by improving their ability to recognize and resist manipulation, young people feel more confident and more engaged and therefore participate more in civic life.
It aims to help young people develop skills, competencies and soft skills that enable
them to create virtual environments resistant to manipulation and counterfeiting, to
strengthen safety, civic engagement and social participation. This resource has been developed by Euro Net (Italy) with Innoved (Greece), Erasmus Me Academy (Germany), Ukrainian Center Of The Future (Ukraine) and Międzynarodowe Centrum Dialogu, Innowacji i Przyszłości (Poland) with funding from the European Commission.
Language: This guide is available in English, German, Greek, Italian, Polish and Ukrainian.
